Seahawks’ J.R. Sweat has surgery on left knee injury, but he’s unlikely to miss season
CHINA — A Seattle Seahawks running back was out of surgery and is expected to miss the rest of the season with a left knee contusion, according to a team source.
The Seahawks released a statement Thursday saying Sweat is expected “to have surgery this week and will be out for the rest.
Sweat has been on injured reserve with a fractured kneecap since early September.
He returned to practice earlier this month and appeared to be improving.
