Buffalo’s Anthony Davis wins second consecutive title in New York
Buffalo Bills running back Anthony Davis was named the NFL’s Player of the Week on Wednesday, ending a five-game losing streak for the Bills.
Davis finished with a team-high 148 rushing yards on 10 carries and was named Offensive Player of Week for his efforts in the victory over the Washington Redskins on Thursday.
Davis was credited with two sacks and one forced fumble and was also a key part of the Bills’ late-game surge in the fourth quarter.
The Buffalo Bills are off for the second straight week against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday.
The NFL also announced that running back Devontae Booker (neck) and tight end Jordan Reed (back) will miss Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins after the latter missed practice Wednesday.
The Bills were 0-3 in the third quarter of their last game against a division rival.
